As part of my commitment to providing the best possible experience for my clients, I’ve been working on updating my website, www.irphoto.co.uk. I wanted to share some insights on the improvements I’m making and what you can expect in the near future. But more importantly, I’d love to hear your feedback on the changes!
A Fresh Look at Design & Layout
The website’s clean and professional look has always been one of its strengths, and I’ve kept that in mind while making adjustments. My goal is to showcase my photography front and center, with clear, bold images that immediately convey what I do best. However, I’ve noticed that a couple of pages — like the "About" and "Pet Shoots" sections — are currently returning 404 errors, which interrupts the user experience. Fixing these is a priority to ensure that anyone visiting the site has access to all the information they need.
Smoother Navigation
While the site’s current layout is easy to navigate, I’m always thinking about how I can make things even more intuitive. One idea I’m working on is adding more prominent "Book Now" buttons to streamline the booking process. The easier it is for you to schedule a session, the better!
User Experience — It’s All About You
I’m especially proud of how the website emphasizes my niche in pet photography. However, I’m planning to build on that by including more client testimonials and case studies. These will not only showcase my work but also give potential clients a better idea of what to expect during a session. I’m also considering adding some personal stories behind my favorite shoots to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the magic we create together.
What’s Next?
Here’s what’s in the works:
Fixing broken links on the "About" and "Pet Shoots" pages.
Adding clear “Book Now” buttons for quicker access to scheduling.
Featuring more client stories and photos from recent sessions.
Launching a blog (just like this one!) to share tips, behind-the-scenes content, and updates.
I’m excited to keep refining the site and would love your thoughts on these updates. What do you think? Is there something you’d like to see on the site that would improve your experience?
